12 Weeks of Christmas Card Tutorials starts NOW!! WEEK 1: MATCHBOOK CARD

Hello friends!
We had such a wonderful time with the 30 Days of Christmas Cards in September, we thought we'd bring you the next 12 weeks until Christmas (yes there are only 12 left...Friday will start 11 weeks until Christmas!) giving you photo tutorials of Christmas Cards that are somehow different from the typical A2 card style to help you liven up your card-making over this wonderful time of year!

I am starting off with a MATCHBOOK CARD.  These are one of my favorite cards to make because 1) they are simple 2) easy to make a lot of these in a short amount of time 3) you can include a photo or gift card inside!!
Let's get started.  Here are the measurements (I have a black piece of Cardstock for the base)  My editing software was not working tonight so if you will just click on the photo  you will see the measurements more clearly:

It folds like this, just like a matchbook:
I decorated the card with one of our brand new Bo Bunny paper packs from the online store:  CHRISTMAS COLLAGE COLLECTION and HIS LITTLE ONES: ANGEL stamp set:
The top of the card fits into the little flap, which I stamped with the CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA words 'Merry Christmas' and put above the staple...
NOTE ON STAPLE PLACEMENT:  you want the top of the card to be able to fit inside this flap so be sure to keep it low...
Here is the inside (I used VINTAGE CHRISTMAS stamp set on the inside) and included a place to attach a family photo or gift card/message on the top):
Thanks so much for stopping by today...
KARY has week 11's tutorial on Friday
Thursday is the Design Team's posting of artwork for you!

Be sure to check out the online store for these and many more stamps and Bo Bunny papers!
Blessings,
Antoinette
